help... install hood pins.

i have sparco hood pins and a cf hood.

does the hood have to be on prior to drilling the holes for the hood pins?
or do you have to put the cf hood on measure it, and then take it off for drilling?

Its best to do it with the hood on. Kind of fit in the hood pins and then put some kind of color grease on the tip of the pins and put the hood down of the pins and let it mark where you need to drill the holes. I would hate to see a good carbon fiber hood ruined by some hood pins though. Should have gotten a kaminari or fiber images or a high quality one like that so you wouldnt need them. Hope that helps

make sure before you start drilling, take up the drilling spot with tape, it will prevent cracking and ripping of the carbonfiber, and double check your mesurements

hoods pins would look nice as long as you paint the hood tatally or partially. and again, check those measurements many times from different angles.
