Speedo Flipping out

I went to install a sub in my car, and somehow managed to fry the alpine deck.. no biggie.. but the thing is every since my car is tripping out.. everytime I turn the auxilary on the speedo and gas and temp gauge bounce around and my odometer flashing all "8"s and then catches itself and goes normal.. this is scary.. and I was wondering if anyone has experience this and what they did about it? I tried flushing out my computer system (dsiconnecting the battery and holding the break for 30sec) but it still does it, and tomorrow I'm going to check the fuse box.. but I hope its nothing major.. cause I'm about to trade the car in, and they'll never take it with it doing that..

well man, when the car is flashing all 8's that is a code that it is telling you, youll probably have to take it to a shop because they aren't likely to help if you just call and ask "whats this code???", not to scare you but i have seen a couple people actually fry their clusters by trying to install an amp, deck, sub or what have you........i dont think that people actually know how delicate you have to be when messing with wires.......

oh yeah try to reset the computer, do this by disconnecting the neg from the battery and with the pos still attached to the battery, hold the neg terminal on the pos, (yes while the pos is still hooked up) anyway do this for 1 min. and then connect everything and start your car,...........if the #'s flash again...........take it to a shop
