To anyone that has done this or has helped do this. I am in the process of buying a kit and I know I see on the net and from people that these kits take a little work to get them to fit properly? Is it something I can do myself or do a need a shop to do it? the other question is when I get the kit do I try to make it fit before I paint it? like test fit it, then touch up and paint? I would really like some info from any of you that might have experience in this area. Thanks.

take it to a shop. it's difficult to modify fiberglass kits to fit without the right tools. unless you have a grinder (among other tools) and some knowledge of fiberglass, you'll have one hell of a time.
