Question auto to manual, worth it????

hey, i got a question, i know that its possible, but is it worth it to convert my 2001 ex from auto to manual. im just not gettin the thrill outta this 1.7L engine with an automatic transmission.. i would like to swap the engine, but i aint got the cash for that ... has anyone converted there car to a manual and would this ruin my chance of reseling it for alot? any comments, or whatever... or.. should i wait and trade my car in for the civic type r, when it comes to america in a year?
comments welcome
thanks

Save your money until you get your engine swap thats why I got myself an automatic, only mod I have is intake, when I have enough cash for an engine they come with tranny's all you have to do is convert it, probably be around 500 or so but its just cruising for now cuz I know my little 1.7 single cam engine wont do anything.

the conversion isn't worth it in my opinion. you'd be better off trading your car in on a stick. There are tons of forums about this if you search.

if you really want to do, might as well save for some major $$ and get a K20. Then you'll be starting with 200hp stock

I have an auto also and I don't think it's worth it. I would wait and trade it in for a car that is manual or save your money and do a swap with a manual Type-S engine.

I don't know what to do either. I might just wait and trade it in for a car that's manual. That's really all I care about: having a manual. (Hehe, yeah right. I say that now, but later on I'll want better performance too.)

definately not worth it...manual may be a bit more fun, but its not worth it when your doing it on a 127hp civic.. i could understand if it was a mustang gt or something.. but seriously, save your money for something better. NOT WORTH IT

Swaps have a lot involved.... I was told it may run almost as much $3 G's

Yeeaah. Domestics are always great to have in manual, especially V8's. Drove my friends Camaro SS and I simply loved it.
