DX Gauges!!!!

Can the DX gauges be converted over to an EX gauge?

I'm not talking about the whole assembly. I guess i want to know if the car is wired to take gauges like this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...&category=6773?

If its possible how hard is it to do? and where could i buy the extra needles for the smaller components?

Any info would be greatly appreciated

Tanx

Yes people have done it... Search terms like Gauge Cluster...
and kiss your Warranty and Resale Value goodbye.

simple plug and play. Just take out the dx cluster, install the indiglo gauge over the ex/lx cluster, plug the cluster back in and voila!

i dont want to replace the whole cluster.

i want to know if its possible to modify the dx cluster so that if i buy ex indiglow gauges i can hook the up?

i know the wiring is there for the tach but i'm not sure if the small circles are able to be wired like they are in an ex.

It seems like you wanna do a custom job on your DX just to get it to be an LX/EX gauge cluster. I would say its too much work when you can just go to a junkyard and get a 'new' gauge cluster for cheap.

i know that. But putting in one of those clusters reset the milage on the car? or is there a way that when you put on the ex cluster that the milage that was showing on the dx shows in the ex?

when I put in the cluster, the new one resets to zero. I don't know about other ppl but thats what it did for me. The milage on the old cluster stays. One guy said after u swap them, go to your dealer and they'll put a stickey with your old milage on the side of your door somewhere.
