you can hook them up directly to the battery. run a 12 gauge wire from the battery, have an inline fuse about 10 inches away, through your firewall and to whereever your switches are. or what i did was splice into my cig. lighter wire behind the dash and use that. i have neons under the seats, dash and in the air vents. the hard part is figuring where you want the switches, i have my in front of the cupholders in the console but i have seen others that have them in the dash in the empty spot where the 2 blank panels are and others have them in the glove box, guess it depends if you want them visible or easy to turn on and off. if you like i can email you pictures of my set up, you can also go to the www.streetglow.com messege board, you'll find tons of help there. have fun.
also you can do it using a relay(SPDT) and wire like this
#86 ground
#87 12volt
#85 from you parking lights, remote turn on,or any source you choose to use
#30 to positive (+) from your neon
and that's it.

these are my switches. when i get an underbody kit, i gonna use one of those blank panels next to the cig. lighter and install the switch for it there. and since i have nothing but blue neons, i'm also gonna switch the switches to all blue, dont know why i got different colors to begin with!
its very simple to do, i took off the console, installed the lights, stuck the transformers under the dash and hide the wires. i spliced into my cig. lighter wire to power them and used a nut and bolt under the console as a ground. it was a one day job. i'll have to take a picture of it all lite up one day...i mean night.
