I THINK I've read that there is this one guy that bought aftermarket tails...took the clear cover off and put it on the stock ones. And there you go...clear stock tails. I think that works.

I looked at the stock ones and they didn't seem like they would come apart without breaking the plastic

Lightbulb try this

i'm guessin there is silicone around the tail lights like how there is some around the head lights. Just take a hair dryer and run it around parts of the tail, get a screwdriver and just try to pry the darn thing apart. If that doesn't work, just save up some money and buy aftermarket tails.

so the guy bought new tails and just took it apart to redo the stock ones? what a waste of money.

I already have aftermarket tails but wanted to try something different, without ruining the aftrmarket ones and trying something with my stock ones. Just in case it didn't work out I would still have my aftermarket ones

PleasJoe is the member who cleared his stock taillights. But what I think he said he did was this.

1. Removed the red cover off the stock lights
2. Removed the clear cover off of a set of Altezza lights
3. Glued the clear cover on the the stock lights
