Swap...

i know, i know this subject has been dealt with before, but i've never goten a straight awser, well you see here in Mexico we do not have the RSX, so it woudl be easier to find the engine from the CR-V or the Accord, but lets say you have the engine, then what
will the HaSport mount work with the K24 engine??
if you get the engine from the CR-V what tranny would U use since the only model available is AWD?
will the wiring be more difficult than the one from the RSX??

thanxs for your awsers....

hmmm , well it would be a BITCH to make the civic awd, since its FWD, but you could always order the RSX engine, and have it shipped to, you.

well the inly option would be buy the engine in the US and have the swap made over there or get the engine here and still go to the US to get the swap done

The K24 should fit from what I'm told. should link up the the TRSX tranny if you want. Most if the after market mods for the K20 should also fit the K24 but not for sure. Check out www.hondaswap.com if you want more info.

the K24 blocks will fit no sweat,,same mounts as the k20, there's slight differences though as to where the Power steering pump and A/C compressor is located on them. No Biggy. The problem is the K24's (accord and TSX) tranmission housing is larger than the K20 for some reason. You'd need an RSX/Si tranny. A Base RSX 5speed's gear ratios would work really well with the torque of a K24 and keep everything relatively bolt in. Remember as well you need to replace the radiator and you need an RSX crossmember for the swap, not just the mounts.

Cheers
