i have it installed, the only thing is when my car is cold, it doesn't rev over 4,000. but i let my car warm up, when it goes under 1,000 rpm then turn it off for 5 seconds then turn it back on and it runs regularly, the only thing is the check engine light. but that goes off after i have my car on for a while.

yes but with the vtec controller portion of it unhooked. the vtec controller gives an engine light, which reads as a vtec solenoid error code.

Read somewhere that if the vtec portion is connected, vtec will not switch to stage 2 at 'kick-in' rpm and therefore cause more harm than good.

i called apexi today and the guy said that they got some research done and the testing will begin in one week on both a 5 speed and an automatic 2001 civic ex. he told me to check their website in 10-15 days and it should be posted. if not call them and ask about it then.
just an update for you all.
