What the #$#@ is that sound?

I was driving on the freeway and it was raining. All of a sudden i heard grinding sound coming from what seems like the passenger side near the wheel. I began to lose control, the car was moving to the left and the grinding didn't stop. i thought it was a flat tire, but it wasn't. It stopped, but came back again, this time when i was taking a right turn. All this time it was raining. What do you think that sound is? Is it my transmission. I have a 2K1 LX Auto.

But i don't have a cat-back. It's all stock.
I've tried searching, but haven't found anything.

Still there was a safety bulletien(sp?) issued about the stock Honda b-pipe and the grinding noise that occurs. It hasn't made it to recall status yet, you have to go in and tell your dealer to perform the NTSF(sp?) safety bulletien for the exhaust. Had it done to mine and it is all good now.
