What is a fair 60ft and 60mph time?

60ft and 60mph times anybody? I'm looking for a fair estimate. I've seen people post 1/8th and 1/4mile but no 60ft or 60mph. I just want something to work against when the weather isn't ****.

try getting into the low 2.2's for 60' time. i honestly never paid much attention to 60mph, but as far as 60' time my best ever was a 2.19 and that was a magical night when i also got my lowest e.t. pretty much if u get a 2.1 anything that is awesome but try and be consistent by getting nothing but 2.2's and 2.3's

This is very true 2.2's or 2.3's are very good 60 ft times BUT BEWARE, our cars are made of putty i have already broken 2 axles at the track and my car was only doing 2.32 secs at the 60 ft mark.. Not to mention the syncros have gone to hell a few times too. (but that's another story).

Something else you should keep in mind is that fast 60 ft times are the perfect recepie for killing mph (at the track). I know it might not sound like it makes any sense but when the car hooks well off the line it improves ET but mph goes down and when the car spins the tires a bit on the launch the ET is hurt But the MPH tends to be higher.

plz explain because i see it as the other way around--> hook well off line means higher both since u start accelerating as u leave the tree compared to spinning as u leave the tree...

When you spin while leaving the tree the car is not moving forward as fast as it would if it hooked well. Hence if you spin off the line, the track becomes longer and the car will have more time to produce mph, but since the car was not moving forward as well as it would if it had hooked (the track becomes longer), then the ET will be slower. It makes perfect sense if you think about it.

edit: www.driveshaftshop.com

my friend launched at 6k rpm at the track, itr popped both, and this place was given high praise by sport compact car the magazine. a couple of stage 2 axles later, the itr can take 6k launches all day everyday
