How to remove 2002 civic ex gauge cluster?

i'm trying to replace my gauges with white face gauges, but with very uninformative instructions that came with the product. i unscrew the top screws on the trim outside the cluster but it won't come out...what's up? am i missing a screw somewhere?

put your hands between the see-thru plastic piece and the piece you wanna pull out. Grasp hard and pull like a mother!!!!! I was afraid of breaking it too.
