removing the headlights

i need to know how to remove the headlights, not the bulbs but the headlight housing. i saw 2 bolts on top and didnt think it would be that simple and its not. i read on some other generation civics you need to remove the front bumper first. if you need to take off the front bumper where are the bolts located? or does anyone know of a DIY for this? any help is useful. thanks.

Do you need to jack/get jack stands to remove the bumper?

Jack stands would make it a lot easier to remove the bumper because there are clips and screws under the bumper. To remove the headlights, you don't need to take the bumper off completely. Just take the top clips out and the screws in the fender well and peel it down. Then the 2 bolts under each headlight will be exposed. It isn't that hard.

If you've never done this before, read the DIY and search for "Clearing" and "headlights" to get better ideas on the subject of removing you bumper. Doing a search and finding previous threads on the subject will REALLY help. Trust me.
