Water pump location:

Standing in front of car. Look at the valve cover. To the left of the valve cover where the big rubber hoses connect to from the radiator.

Best I can do without being there to show you.

Timing belt location:

Standing in front of the car. Look at the valve cover and the black plastic cover on the right is the cover for the timing belt. What I told you and what you thought were correct about the water pump.

Later, Phil

That is not actually the location of the water pump, that is only where the return line for the radiator (and some other coolant lines) and the thermostat are located. The water pump is on the right side at the very back of the engine, where the belt is that goes to the alternator, power steering pump, etc. Here is a diagram (it is for an 01 EX, but would be essentially the same for lower models just without the EGR valve [#1]):

(#3 is the water pump)

You are correct. The water pump itself is located there. What I mentioned was the thermostat. My fault.

I get all those diagrams I post from Majestic Honda Online, and they sell Honda OEM parts (which are listed in diagrams like the one above) for very low prices.

What is it you are planning to do...upgrade the water pump or something?
