Turbo oil lines!

To anyone who can help,

I have a turbo setup on my 2001 civic already. I am putting a similar setup on my friends 2001 civic. My question is, is there any other way to run the oil to the turbo and back. I have a t in my sending unit for the oil and I taped my oil pan right below where the turbo hangs. It was easy for me because I rebuilt the motor and had it out of the car. His motor is still in the car and it is a hella pain to take the oil pan off and tap it and the sending unit is on the back of the motor above the oil filter. So is there any other places on the motor where I can tap or return oil to that would make the job a lot easier?

If you don't want to tap into your oil pan, you can use an oil adaptor that looks something like this. You screw the filter into it, then screw the whole thing where the filter goes, and run your hoses.

if you do end up tapping the oil pan, make sure you take it off. stupid people who dont take off their oil pan sometimes usually end up with messed up cylinder walls because medal fileings are in their oil.

Ya,

I took the oil pan off to do mine. My friend helps me work on my car and I don't mind helping him or other people, but when it comes to somthing hard like this I am like damnit. I have to help him though because he helps me a lot. He helped me do mine.

Those screw on adapters just move the filter elsewhere. Usually they work with some generic filter (I think it's the filter for a Mustang) and you can just put the filter in a more accessable place. The other kind is a "sandwich" adapter which is about 1" thick and screws into the filter landing. It lets you add an oil out and oil in line, typically for an oil cooler, then the filter screws to the adapter.

While we're at it....
How difficult is it to remove the oil pan? I have to get a temp sensor into the oil pan, and I'm not sure how difficult it is... if anyone has a quick run through and approximate time frame, that would help.
