Which Valve cover?
I have a 2k1 Civic ex sedan and i wanted to know what size valve cover i can get[IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/IMG]
I dont get why ppz keep sayin b16 and all this other stuff. help???

I don't believe there is one available for the d17 as of yet. And there's no way a b16 one will fit.[IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-nono.gif[/IMG]

What do you mean? A stock one or aftermarket? There is no aftermarket one for our rides.

yea i was thinkin an after market one. I did see one of the members have one in his ride, thats why i even wanted one...

That's on a B16. Look at the rest of the engine bay... the throttle body is horizontal, the strut towers are not in the same place. and the most obvious one of all... Look at the paint! The 2k1 is silver, the engine is out of an Electron Blue Si

there are no after market valve covers, there is an aftermarket carbon fiber wire cover. thats it. that b16 doesnt even have an aftermarket valve cover, just a spark plug cover. and allman had a custom made spark plug cover.

ya that is for a b16 DOHC motor. looks like he just bolted it onto his d17. the ones for our car will cover those spots were the wires connect too. it will be like the stocks ones on there.
all tho, that doesnt look to bad

And there is one, an aftermarket one, for our cars....the only one I know of though is "carbon fiber" (whether it is or not, who knows) but I've seen them on Ebay I know, and I think at some online stores too.....just have to look hard enough.. but i know i've seen the CF one before.

ya i already said that before. they are like 100 bucks, i found them on some site before. they look like real carbon fiber and for 100 bucks they better be.

well you can do what i did... paint the plastic valve cover (mine is white) and paint the real valve cover (mine is red)

That is not a valve cover guys. That is a spark plug wire cover. The valve cover is under that.

seriously, the valve cover is that light grey piece where the spark plugs sit in. that covers the VALVES in the engine not the wires on top of the engine.
