Need Input on Exhaust

Alright, I'm going to be getting an exhaust soon but I don't want to buy a big named brand. Basically I was going to go with a custom. I don't know what sized piping to get. Either 2.25" or 2.5". Which ever will get me more power. I've heard that a dual exhaust will cause your car to lose torque because of loss of back pressure. I want a dual but I'm looking for other people's opinions first. Let me know your opinion.

Don't do dual exhaust you will lost torque. If you go custom 2.25 is plenty and make sure you get Stainless steel instead of aluminum because it will last longer.

Get 2.5 it will take away from the back pressure, however in the upper rpm range your car will run better, or at least my 96 dx did.
