Guage Cluster/Mileage Differences

Guys....when you swap out your cluster, just take it to honda, they can recalibrate the cluster with the correct miles....my buddy has a 3.2 TL, and he had to swap his cluster because some circuit in it fried.....the Acura dealer only charged $35 to reprogram the cluster with correct mileage....

Everything in our cars is computerized....so technically, if someone has the right tools, they should be able to change anything....

heh...i've been watching people post about new clusters for months and they always say how the mileage never matches up....finally I got sick of reading about it...I figured somone would have thought of getting it reprogrammed by now....but oh well....now you all know. Go to your honda dealership and ask them personaly. At my dealership that i work for , we can not reprogram the gauge cluster in a 7th gen. The techs that i work with place a sticker in your door jam stateing this odometer was reset to 0. I do how ever have some Phone numbers at work that you can call to see if they can actully up the miles for you in a 7th gen( but keep in mind these are aftermarket companys). I will post the phone numbers tomorrow after I get off work.

I hope my dealership would change the mileage. I have a DX with 14k miles on it. The replacement tach I bought a while ago has around 12000 miles. When I got that tach though, I only had 11k on the car. I waited too long, and then I missed the mark. Waiting till summer to do the changes.
