Maintenance Light

Hello everyone,

I noticed this evening my "Maintenance Required" light flashed for about 5 seconds when I turned my car on, it went away and never came back on until I started my car again, and again after about 5 seconds of flashing it went away.

Is this normal or anything I should be concerned with??

Exactly.... RTFM

It's just saying to come back to the dealership for an oil change, but don't... have it done somewhere else or DIY.

the "CHECK ENGINE" light is the serious one.

civicdude will become famous soon enough
There is no cause for alarm....There is a DIY on this. Please do a search, and you will find it. You can do it yourself, in a matter of minutes. The check engine light goes on around 9k miles and then again at 16k miles....etc....
Dont be scared, it doesnt mean you have to go to honda. They want you to come in so you can give them money to service your car but you really dont have to go at all.
