DESPERATLY need v-afc help

ok, so I have my v-afc setup, running fine for about 1 day- the next day I turn on my car, to warm up, I come back out to the car and notice it is idiling funny, keeps boobing between 900 and 500 rpm randomly. I start to drive and see if it smooths itself out, it did- no more problems with the idle, BUT.... It drove "normal" until 4000rpm, at that point the check engine light came on and the engine stuttered and wiould not pass 4000rpm, it felts like it does when you hit fuel cut, the engine died down and went back to normal so long as I did not try to go past 4000rpm- What do you think got screwed up here?

My v-tec engagement is L->H at 3800rpm H->L at 3600rpm
WOT Fuel is enriched at a linear curve from 3000 to 6000rpm starting at 3% up to 14%
Narrow throttle was set in a linear curve from 1% to 4% lean
Throttle position low/high is at 40% and 90%
sensor is 6 in and 6 out

after this happened, I set all all the fuel points to neutral ( 0% ) to see if something got out of whack, but the problem still exists. The problem is there no matter what fuel setting or v-tec engagement settings I played with, it is possible some other parameters got changed in the v-afc that I have not set proper, but why would it take a full day to show it self??

What would my flow of troubleshooting be? Anyone got any ideas on this one??

it worked flawless for 1 day, then acted up. I tried the resetting of the ecu to kill the rev limit prob at 4K, didnt work- the CEL comes on like 5 seconds after starting the car.

Assuming the wiring is correct and the settings are set proper, is it the vtec eb=ngager that is causing the prob or the afc part, would dissconnecting the vtec part fix the problem? The only reason I bought the v-afc was so that I could alter the a/f mixture for use with my nitrous kit.
