30K Scheduled Maintenance - How Much?
Just wanted to know from those who had their 30,000 mile scheduled maintenance how much they paid. I called today and was quoted 400 bucks plus tax. And I'm saying thats a bit steep.
That's the same price my dealer quoted me. What I did was I got a list of services they do for the 30 000 maint. and I basically did it myself, and kept all the receipts. Smart thing to do if you ask me. Costed me about 75 in parts.
it varies from dealer to dealer but it was just an oil change brake inspection, tire rotation, a few lube points, change fuel filter, change air filter unless u have k and n then u need to clean it, and .... overall inspection. you know how your car runs. if something is messing with you then take it in if you can't handle it. also change all fluids especially tranny fluid, and coolant. you need to take care to do these things. pretty good thing to do on a saturday morning.
$390 (+ tax) at the dealership I go to. Maybe you can haggle with them and only pay for what you don't want to do yourself. I hate having to pay for stupid little things that I could do myself just because they're in a large package deal with stuff that I can't handle. Know what I'm saying?
EDIT: this dealership is in eastern Massachusetts for those that are curious (Burlington, MA to be precise)
