DIY building a custom trunk ?

What are we supposed to do with the spare after building the custom trunk? Does it get eliminated?

It depends on what kind of setup you want. I wanted to have an amp rack in the floor of the trunk. But I also wanted to have access to my spare tire. (which I wanted to keep in the car) So I built my deck about 4 inches higher than the original, and hinged it right in front of the speaker box. Now all I have to do is pull up and it opens so I can grab my spare.

But if you just wanna mount your speakers in the floor of the trunk then it's easier to just relocate the tire underneath...

lol ...i have 18's ... and i dont plan on getting a flat cause you can just ride the tire since they're so small even if you do go flat... BUT I chucked my spare.. along with the jack too much stereo.. too little space..... TOW truck aprox. 50$ Just keep a 50 in the glove box instead... then u dont need a spare

I did what Aemcivic did, since my wife drives the car to. I hinged the floor so I could get to the tire, it's a clean set-up, I think
