is it ok to disconnect the intake sensor ?
Unfortunately the intake pipe I purchased has no extra receptacle for the intake sensor. So is it ok without it ? What are the long-term downsides ?

just poke a hole through the rubber coupling and stick the sensor in... make sure its fairly tight... i dont think its a good idea to run without the sensor... after all thats the "MASS AIRFLOW SENSOR" ur dealing with.. hahah

er.. yes you need it.
the MAS determines the amount of air that comes in... and ECU mixes the proper amount of fuel to it.... without it, whats the point of performance intake on fuel injected vehicles?
anyhow looks like u got it taken care of.

if it doesn't make any difference why does every fuel injected vehicles in the market has a MAS??? just for kicks? sheesh.
without it ur ECU will be reading the wrong fuel map and giving the wrong amount of fuel... losing efficiency and performance. you're just driving slower and wasting more gas.
