battery

I was waiting for a friend outside his house for a minute today, with the car on, so i was pressing gas slighly, and i realized that when the rpm gets above 1.2 or 1.3 my lighst get sronger and when the rpm gets lower they become dimmer. know i was told that it is from the battery, that i leave electrical stuff on too long without switching the car on, so it drains the battery, and the solution is to drive the car a bit more and the battery will get recharged by time, now i have been keeping my stero on and my lights on cause i i cleared them last wekk and i was trying them and listening to music while working, so it could be true.
what do u think should i get it checked out or is that a safe explaination?

running motor beefs up electrical output. Sounds like you need a playstation or something in your car.

Lights and that sort of stuff does not run off of the battery when the car is running. It runs off of the alt and at idle the alt is not putting out as manyamps. That's why when you up the revs the lights get bright. You are giving them more amps to run.
