Windows UP Module

i just installed my Windows up model for my car.
I used the Crime Stoppers Windows Up module that was purchased for $15.00 on ebay.

Many people say.. you pay for what you get.. but this windows module is nothing but a simple circuit relay triggered by the NEGATIVE output from our alarms.

The windows module can be either hooked up to a open negative output on your alarm that is controlled by your alarm aux button or hooked up to your car's ingition kill to have your windows rolled up everytime your car is armed.

I have the DEI automate alarm system purchased from Honda w/ my car.

My alarm's AUX output is already linked up to my POP Trunk module.. so i could only hook it up to my alarm's ignition kill output.

The install is fairly simple.. i will give every1 the break down on this post.

The Windows UP module purchased from Ebay has the total of 8 wires.

2 wires for the driver side door
2 wires for the passenger side door
1 wire for 12V constant from battery
1 wire for ground
1 wire for signal from alarm
1 wire for ignition kill outout (this wire is used if you choose to have your windows closed when you arm your alarm)

1) you would remove your driver side door panel.

1. Locate the Black w/ Red stripe wire from your window switch (driver side window)
2. Locate the Blue w/ Red stripe wire from your window switch (passenger side window)

2) Snake the 4 wires from module to window switch

1. Peel back the white plastic that covers your door's chasis to expose the rubber tube that insulates the wiring from door to the chasis.
2. Remove the driver kick panel and locate the rubber tube that insulates teh wiring from the chasis to the door.
3. You will now use a 12" zip tie to snake the wire. look for the rubber tube that insulates the wires
4. Shove the zip tie into the tube then through the rubber tube(behind the kick panel) comming out from the other end (door)
5. electric tape 2 wires onto the zip tie (the end at the driver side kick panel) then tape the 2 other wires firmly onto the 1st 2 wires that is on the zip tie.
6. slowly pull the zip tie from inside of the door and gradually pull the 1st pair of wires through the rubber tube.. then grasp onto the 1st pair of wire and gradually pull the 2nd pair of wire through the tube.

3) Wiring to the door

1. Locate the driver side Black w/ Red stripe window wire and the passenger side Blue w/ Red stripe window wire.
2. Cut the driver side wire Black w/ Red stripe and hook up the labeled wires
3. Cut the passenger side wire Blue w/ Red stripe and hook up the labeled wires

4. Wiring to the alarm

1. Locate your alarm brain
2. Connect the yellow wire to your AUX output (AUX output controlled roll up)
or
a. Cut your ingition kill wire (from the brain to the relay). now you will have 2 halves
b. Connect the yellow wire to the brain and Connect the Orange wire to the ignition kill relay

5. Wiring for to the car

1. Use T taps and tap the red wire into your alarm's constant 12v wire
2. Use T taps and tap the black wire into your alarm's ground

6. Now test your alarm with your windows down to check if it rolls up. If it doesnt, double check all your connections..... OH YEAH! check if your ignition kill still works too!

7. put everything back together.. and you are done!

the install took me approx 2 hours. the most tricky part was snaking the wires through the rubber tube. i did not expose any wires at all.

goodluck!
