DIY dash light (sort of) help
Hello Everyone,
Yesterday i change all the sick orange colors to blue in my dash. I was a lot easier than i thought it would be. And it looks great too. I then ordered indigloes for my guage cluster right after it was complete.
My question is to everyone that has changed their dash lights before. Is there anyway to change the AUTO window switch on the driver's door. The switch that lets the drivers side window go down without holding it. Thanks for all your help.

Great!!
I have that piece out of my car now. So AEMCIVIC, you saying to just pop of the actual switch to reveal a bulb. I just don't want to break off the switch. But i guess i'll give it a try. Thanks
Ohh. I didn't paint the bulbs, i just glued a piece of the gel to the opening where the "orange light" would have came out.

Allright, i still have a problem. i got the assembly all apart and i see the bulb. But i dont know how to make it blue. I don't want to replace or paint the bulb but there is also no where where i can put a piece of the plastic gel.

That part is very hard. You have to carefully disect the switch and take it apart. You have to pop the top part of the switch off (the part that says "Auto") and remove the red color from behind it. It's really easy to mess it up so beware.

Yeah so i finally completed the whole changing my dashlight cover. Thanks aemcivic for your help. The blue sort of comes through the AUTO switch. But oh well, looks better than that shiet orange. I used the colored gels from a local music shop.

its an led in the window switch... its a white led covered with orange goo... so you would either have to replace the led or scrape the orange crap off and use the blue gel... but i messed up my switch when i poped it open so be careful
