HELP QUICK!!! REMOTE START
OKay... I am having problems with my remote start... wanted to know if anyone had the same issue....
My directions state.... Wire purple wire to Engine Sensor Wire. So I am like WTF.... Well I had help
installing it from a friend of a friend... we got the whole alarm down easily... But he said the purple wire is
supposed to go to the tach sensor wire. So we did that.... Car starts....5 seconds later it turns off and gives
us the UNSUCCESSFUL START beeps. So I am like hmmm......
The manual says the purple wire goes to the sensor wire that reads negative or 3V-4V on some cars in the on position, but when in the start posisiton it reads 12V. Well the tach does not read those amounts....
Has anyone experienced this, I did a search... PLEASE HELP ASAP

Is your doors open or closed? I thought that if you use a remote start that once you open the door to your car you have a couple of seconds to place your key in the ignition before the engine will auto cut-off.

Our cars have a transponder which means if the key is not physicaly in the ignition it will not allow your car to start or turn off when the remote start trys to turn it on.so you have to bypass it in order to get it working right. PM me if you want me to send you a diagram for it!!!

I think it has something to do with the brake sensor, i tried doing the remote start while sitting in my car, and it still started, so maybe i was thinking the brake sensor is not hooked up right, but i checked the connections and the wire, everything is right... hmmmmm i am so f-ing confused
U can't access the pics unless u have dealer code, sorry can't give that out. to make sure it's not the brake wire just diconnect the wire, start the car. Do u have a neutral safety switch on the alarm?
Nuetral safety switch is on some alarm, I don't know if u have that or not. But it's just a ground switch that u turn the remote start option on or off. Just say u let let someone burrow ur car and u turn the remote start off so they won't accidentally start the car. That wire has to be grounded for the remote start to work.
