Power Windows, a minor problem.

I don't know if anyone else has this problem, but recently my power windows are acting a little weird. Since the power windows has the option of automatically going down all the way, I try to push the button once, and sometimes it does go down all the way. But sometimes the windows either stops halfway, or goes down a little, and stops, so I gotta push it again, and then it goes down all the way. Sometimes if I try the second time, it'll stop halfway! I don't know what the hell is going on. At first I didn't think anything of it, but now it's beginning to be a problem.

motor's going bad?
unless it stops moving completely, like you said, its not really a problem.
maybe you should replace it

Someone on this site a while back was saying that the power window motor shuts off under a "load" so if your window is a little tight between the door panel and track this will happen because the motor thinks the window is down. I heard of people using a silicon spray (NOT WD-40 or CRC, they will eat the rubber) between the window tracks seems to loosen it up enough so you don't have the problem.

I don't get that problem, but since we are on the subject...I sometimes like to play a lot with the windows switch, they're close but I pull the buttons anywway, when I'm stuck in traffic....anyway...sometimes my power window switch sorta get's stuck when I close the windows if I pulled too hard, and when I push down, it won't come down after several tries....because damn, I need to keep my windows opened so all the rattling from the inside won't drive me crazy

are the power window buttons water proof? i always wondered?
cause when it storms, and you open your door without an unbrella i hate when the water gets all over the inside of the door.

See, I live in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, now I don't know if the power windows are water proof or not, but I think that might be the problem. It rains and snows here, and I think that might have caused the problem, but I'm not sure. Now the problem is getting a little annoying, so I'm just gonna go take it to the dealer and get it fixed, while its still under warranty. Thanks for all your thoughts.

Mine does the same thing, I posted a thread about it less than a week ago and only MEX wrote back...He said he just went to the dealer and had it fixed. I've also noticed that mine does it worse on days when its cold outside (I live in ATL so ya know its not that cold). Well if you take it the dealer, post results, im curious.

Ask about the water proof thing too, cause ive always wondered that also.
