Rep Power: 0 REMOVING TRUNK SPRINGS FOR INSTALLING OEM SPOILER????
I have the PDF instructions for installing the OEM spoiler. I'm at work and will do this mod this weekend. Without actually seing the trunk spring I am wondering how it comes out? The instructions call for a special tool, will I need it? How hard is it to come out?
Thanks for any info.

Rep Power: 354 I put on the OEM SPoiler and I did'nt use the new springs. It stays open and it's not like it's extremely heavy. I just won't stay open at and angle.

Rep Power: 0 You don't *NEED* to load the springs, but it helps to keep the trunk open Using the tool was a big help, and it's not that expensive I think, like 5 bucks for it. your honda dealer should have a few, you might even talk to them about borrowing it real quick, and just change the springs in the parking lot

Rep Power: 0 Late to the party. I'm thinking of putting the stiffer "spoiler" springs on my trunk as well. My lid falls on me without the extra weight of the spoiler! Especially when parked up hill. I can't imagine anything form Honda being in the $5 catagory. Just what does this tool look like? And what is its function?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Rep Power: 0 heres you a link to where you can get the tool, it's like 4 bucks shipped, but i'm betting you can get it from your local honda dealer for about the same price, any way, go to the exterior options after going through make, model/trim, and year, you'll see it, it's about 1/2 way down

Rep Power: 0 my **** didn't even come with instructions, but I got it cheap so I can't complain about that
Anyway, I just kept the springs the way they came from Honda, and haven't had any problems with it.
