I broke the stud off the head to hold the coils for the spark plugs and I need to fix it, it costs like 4 bucks for the stud, but 75 bucks for isntallation and thats a rip off any help plz, thanks.

You have a couple of options.
1. Vice grips. They usually mess stuff up.
2. If you have a welder (preferably a wire one) just tack another bolt to the top of that one a back it off.
3. I can't really tell too good but if there is enough stud left take two 6 by 100 nuts and put one on upside down (flange up) then take the other one and install flange down and tighten them together. This will sometime be enough to remove a bolt.

that metal part broke off in the attatchment, and the bolt is still on the broken stud. so there is nothing holding the coil down except for the valve cover.

Well if there is any bit of the stud left option two is almost full proof. The two nuts jammed together works very well too. If its just simply a broken stud don't sweat it. How did it break again? Removing it?

If the stud is big enough, you could try using an easy-out(screw extractor), there a few bucks at most auto part stores and places like Home Creepo or Lowes. What you do is drill a hole into the broken stud, stick the easy-out in and then try to back out the stud. Here's a link to give you a better idea:

Basically its sorta like a drill bit but instead of using a drill, you use a wrench. Its backwards threaded to remove screws once inserted in to a pre-drilled hole.
