o2 sensor problem

Hey i have a 2002 Lx coupe and i put in DC headers but their made for Ex though. I put my o2 on my piping after a while my check engine light goes on and supposedly you loose power. I want to know what an o2 simulator does, it sounds like it does something w/ the sensors. I made a mistake on putting those on theirs theirs nothing I can do about it. I need answers thanks. I saw on other Lx models with headers what did they do w/ the o2 sensors. b'cuz the stock headers are connected to the cat so help me please.

"Unlike most O2 simulators that use a 555 timer, the ECG O2Sim utilizes a RISC processor to exactly simulate the oxygen sensor outputs from the catalytic converter. This eliminates check engine light problems common with high flow catalytic convertors and test-pipes! The O2Sim computes various vehicle sensor parameters in real-time to mimic the oxygen sensor outputs."

Basically, the O2 simulator is for people with high-flow cats or not cat at all. I had to remove my cat when I installed my Kamikaze header. The CEL came on, but the O2 simulator took care of the problem. It tricks the ECU into thinking that there is nothing wrong with the sensor. Not 100% sure if it would fix your problem, but it seems possible.

I will bet you $50,000 that you don't have DC headers.

Or you could take it to a muffler shop and have them move or second 02 sensor behind your cat, if you've got one.
