Question about high watt headlight bulbs
My friend buy a set of H4 light bulbs for me, but he got the wrong one with 80/85w power consume and 130/100w light output. Is it ok to install that high wattage light bulbs without add extra wire or some kind of heavy duty harness? Some people said the stock harness will melt with that kind of bulb, is it true?

in some cases, your harness might melt. i'm currently running on higher wattage bulbs but no melting thus far. I feel bad about blinding others at night though
I've got a pair of Xenon Headlights on my car for about 6 months, I've had no problems. I hope it doesn't melt anything! One of my friends has a Rav4 and he put Xenon Headlights on his car, and the whole electrical system in his car blew out. He had to pay $200 to fix the whole thing. The only difference was he bought those lights from some dude for $15, I bought mine from a store for $40.
