has anyone actually tried to do this? I hear all the time that it's not worth it, but i don't see how it could be cheaper to trade an lx in for an ex....especially if you did all the work yourself.

for the price right now Its pretty cheap. I checked online and the head itself is well over 600.00 bucks. Think this could be ported and polished?
Here is the price online

If you can get the head cheap, it is worth it. The only thing thats going to get you is the cost of controller and header. That is if you do all the work yourself. Total I would say its a 12-15 hour job.

I would do it but I want to keep my warrenty

IDQcivic should not be trusted
THat would be better to buy if you already had an EX, than you could get it ported polished and whatever else you wanted to do to it so you wouldnt have as much downtime... Then you could seel off your old head... Right now its only at like $50 so that would be a good investment actually....
