CF Hood problem

Im not sure if this goes here but sorry if it doesnt. Well my carbon fiber hood has these weird smudge like things on the hood that would come off. How would i fix it, clear coat it again? can any body shop do it or does the place have to really know about carbon fiber hoods? PLEASE HELP

It could be something in the clear coat, you might be able to just buff it out or have a shop do it. If you just got it new, then I would be complaining to the company you got it from.

you may be able to have a bodyshop buff it with rubbing compound or somethjing..it wouldnrt hurt to ask em.

ok but say if if its messed up can i get a new clear coat on it? is that how i would do it?

I HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT YOU CANT WAX CARBON FIBER BECAUSE IT HAS TO BREATH AND IF IT DOESNT BREATH IT BUBBLES ESPEIALLY HOODS BECAUSE OF THE HEAT

you can wax cf if you want, you can buff it, polish it, anything. i wouldnt use rubbing compound unless its REALLY fine stuff. the stuff i got from kragens is only a 1500 grit simulator, and a pisspoor one at that.

ill try 2000 grit one of these days, but seriously, some good old elbow grease wax, and a cloth is all you really need. and some time, itll take a long long time.....
