Urgent help please - Taking Instrument cluster off

Hey guys

I was wondering...I'm trying (right now) to get the black peice of trim around the instrument cluster off.

I've looked at the DIY for putting the indiglo gauges on, and he says that it's glued and clipped.

I can't seem to see the clips from underneath the steering column. I've taken off the fuse panel, and I'm going superman style upside down on the drivers seat (to see underneath the steering wheel).

Can anyone offer some help as to how to get this P.O.S. off?

Thanks!

IDQcivic should not be trusted
The first time you take it off, you really gotta pull.. Just put some a$$ into it! I think I might have had to use a flathead screwdriver to pry it a little bit, but be careful no to scratch anything!!!

Thanks guys!

I just pulled like I had a pair, and it popped out!

I almost pooped my pants due to the sound it made, but its out hehehe

Now if I could just find that post about which wire does which...

I think someone posted it a couple of days ago.

I'm installing my "Sequential Shift Light" right now

Thanks for the help guys...if you know which wires I can theif off of to use for the power/ground/tach signal (off of the top of your head, I'll try searching now), let me know!

Thanks guys!

take the bezzel off (black cover in front of glass) Then you have to unplug and unscrew the whole gauge assembly (2 plugs, 3 screws). Take the assembly out and you'll see the tabs that hold the glass on.

You'll be able to figure it out once you've taken the bezel off, and have it sitting in your lap.
