I notice something simlilar when I shift from first gear. If I don't shift slow (normal) then it halfway pops out of gear when I start to pull back on the shifter. Is this what you guys are talking about? It doesn't just do it on its own is what I'm saying.

hmmm are u guys talking about manual or auto, cause my 2k1 manual is hard to shift into first and when u down shift slow it pops out of gear. Also reverse is hard to shift into when im not even moving at all, are these signs that my tranny is going and if its are there any tsb's?

i think it's normal. 1st gear pops in easily only when the car is at a complete stop, otherwise you'll have to force it in. reverse is also a b*tch to engage, but this is normal for any car especially cable trannies like ours. the trick is to move the stick into first and then quickly pull it back into reverse.

yea thats right on how it should be....i guess i should have explained a bit more. Seems like the car is stopped or rolling and the clutch is all the way to the floor or whereever and its like a bi**h to shove into first. In other words u jam it into gear....I holy have 30,000 km on it.....

oh well its back and working fine thats all that matters.....replaced the bushings and change my clutch or gear oil and a few other things
....

I just need some more hp now!!!
