I got a voltmeter to put in my pod and it fluctuates between 12.5vand 14.6 depending how fast I'm goin... But when I get to 60mph it goes to 14.6 and stays and also stays when any accessory is used. Does anyone else with the voltmeter see this? Please answer only if you KNOW what your talkin about. I never seen it b4 either but that doesn't make it messed up.

Rep Power: 0 All honda's do this, they have an internal voltage regulator in their alternator, this means the alternator runs at 12.5 ish volts unless there is a draw requiring more, then it steps it up to 14ish volts. Reduces parasitic drag this way also. Ever notice it does it when you turn your headlights on? BTW I also have a voltmeter and had one on the del sol (on the sol the regulator actually went, and the voltage stayed at 12.5 all the time, this, and my dead batteries, clued me in to the failure )

Rep Power: 0 my escort passport 8500 radar detector works as a voltmeter. If you are doing a lot of stuff (i.e. running foglights, headlights, A/C, headlights, closing all 4 windows and the sunroof) at idle it'll drop to 10V or so. As your RPM get higher your alternator starts adding more power and it can get up above 14. Cars' voltages aren't meticulously regulated. That's why PS/2s aren't set up to be used in the car. they're much more sensitive to voltage fluctuations than the PS1 or playstation (both of which have car adapters).
