exhaust is knocking anyone got any ideas??

I few mouths ago i got some custom piping on my car and a custom maga flow cat back but now after a few mouths I am hearing a knocking nose by my passengers side. I am not sure if it is the piping or weather they bent it wrong? Anyone ever have this problem? if so what did you do to fix it the sound just gets on my nervures only happens when the car is just sitting to not when i am moving so I am thinking it might be back presser or something but not sure though. Any help would be great.

The welds probably came apart. Take it back and make them fix it. BTW, what kind of piping did they use? Hope they used new pipes. I had a friend who went in and they used some old pipes and they rusted within 2 months. I guess he paid the price for not checking out the pipe work before driving off.

They were new i look at that frist. the guy was really cool about it all he showed me everthing they did and i want to say they piping was 2 1/4 i think they guy who did it put 2in piping on frist but pulled it all off and redid it the whole thing with bigger pipes he said it would sound better and it does, but then the knocking started Lol going to take it back to him today and hope nothing goes wrong. it did this once before and the pipe was bent wrong they just rebent the pipe and it was fixed but the knocking before was evertime i hit a bump this one is when i am sitting and the car and the pipe are hot not sure. hope they can find out what the hell is up with it

my catback used to rattle against my sway bar (only suspention mod ive done ) my solution was to wrap the area where it rattled with hose. i even used some zip ties to keep it on. it works beautifully, but damn its ghetto.

Well alot of people have the problem with the stock exhaust on 2001 coupes hitting the underside near the first bend under the passenger floor. Honda has a TSB on it and will replace your FACTORY midpipe with a new peice under warranty, they fixed the problem for 2002. So I would imagine it may be the same thing.... do a search, lots of posts on this noise sitting around under vehicle problems
