Rep Power: 0 actually, you don't need to take the console out, that is an extra part. All you need to do to get to that bracket with the two screws that hold the cd player and all that good stuff in the dash is to take out the panel with the a/c plug right above the console. It is held in by clips. Work your way around the sides with a screw driver to dislocate the clips and should just come out. Hope this helps!

Rep Power: 0 so sorry to reply late... but just wanted to reconfirm something before i actually do it..
if I understand correctly, do i just pull out those ***** for a/c controls, then use flat tip screw drivers to disconnect the clips? it'll be great if you can tell me how many clips there are and approximately where they're located. oh, and what about those a/c ducts? works the same way?

Rep Power: 0 You could do it that way...but the best thing is to push up and out on the bracket that holds the CD player cluster in....you have to push hard, but to no avail, it will come out...if you try and pry the clips out along the actual trim piece itself you may run the risk of having the screwdriver slip and scratch...plus the harder you pry, the more it messes up the plastic..trust me, I have done this like a hundred times....

Rep Power: 0 ok i'll do that! thanks. oh, is it better to get to those brakets by just plying the cig.plug console n locating the clips, or take out the center console(around the shifter) n remove piece by piece?
