Type R steering wheel???

I know a place that carries the new integra type R steering wheel. I was wondering if the steering will work/fit on a 7th gen??? The reason I want that steering wheel is because it looks awsome and it has a airbag. Also I have another buddy with 99 type R seats W/ sliders (I have lots of buddies...) will fit work in a 7th gen? Do you have to do mild or heavy mods? And will the rear bucket seat fit? Thanks alot for any input!

mikalem is on a distinguished road
And 3rd it's illegal to remove the airbag system from the car, even if you replace it I believe - so just don't bother, find something else to get to make the car look better (Like seats! 445 or something like that for the pair, you can't beat it!)

you cant change the air bag system but you can completely remove it? i.e. custom steering wheels with no air bags

couldn't you just force the airbag to deploy? then drive it to a reputable garage w/ the new wheel in hand and have them do it?

They fit onto the EM1 Si chassis so theres a good chance they will work on the EM2 01+ Coupe chassis as well. Its all a matter of if you can afford it or not.

As for the ppl saying its illegal blah blah, nothings illegal if you know the right people. Slip someone a 50 and see how quickly they forget about laws.

i bought 2002 SI Steering wheel .... looks coooool and it fits too but i still have problem with the SRS wiring

anybody have any idea how to mod it? srs wiring from 2002 si steering to 2002 coupe steering

@ SI Steering, there are only 2 wires, but @ COUPE there are 4 wires. I know which one to connect but i'm still affraid if i connected reversed, it'll blow the airbag

First thing ingencivic I know I don't have a type R! And I am not trying to mimick one.. second of all I just like the way the type R steering wheel looks... Third of all, there are hundreds of threads of people who want to do a custom pink paint job and a 4 foot G*D Damn wing, and I haven't seen you attack them... Forth of all, my civic is one of the cleanest ones in the canada east forum. (Probably the largest forum of north america)
I have put alot of money into this car. I am not trying to be a pri*k but don't slander it was only a plain and simple question!

well theres your answer. If the Si bag dosnt work then the Type R wont either. Best advice is to buy a helms, disconnect your battery, start wiring and cross your fingers.

true.. people have different tastes. not everyone buys a certain product to make it look like a certain type of car. others buy it because they like how it looks.
