when i baught an aftermarket alarm, they put my OEM key (w/ chip) into a black box( i forgot the brand name). The box used to read the chip in the OEM Key, so you can install a remote start. and after that, you can use any after market key (w/o Chip) for 7thgen civic.

i'll check out the brand name for the chip reader A.S.A.P

There is a thing... its like a ring that fits under the dash that overrides it... thats how you can start the car without the chip being recognized

I think it's an addon made for specific vehicles and costs like $20-30

Yeah theres ways to get around it. However, why would you want to disable the one thing that makes our cars harder to steal?

Temporary Bypass Ignition Immobilizer Without Cutting A Key

PKH3 is designed to temporarily bypass select Honda/Acura ignition immobilizer systems (Click Compatibility Chart for vehicle listing) when remote starting.
If installing remote start on a vehicle that is not on the compatibility list below then verify if the GREEN plug coming from the transponder ring from around the ignition cylinder has "7" wires, if it does then the PKH3 should work on the vehicle.

The transponder immobilizer systems found on the listed Honda and the Acura vehicles can be temporarily disarmed with the use of a PKH3 transponder interface kit. Most Importantly, the PKH3 is a "No Key Required" Bypass, once this Transponder Bypass Kit is programmed "ALL" the original vehicle keys are returned to the owner. Adding a remote starter to any of the listed vehicles does not mean you have to give up one of the costly transponder keys, plus the PKH3 is more reliable and secure than the key in the box type bypass kits.
