getting oil changes at honda dealer

just wondering how is the quaility of service when getting oil changes at honda dealers. do they really use a new washer every time? do they use only genuine honda 5w-20 oil. also do those guys know to use a new filter every time too? just kinda concerned.

I hope they're doing all that stuff, cause I don't ever look at the drain bolt or filter, i mean that's what i'm paying them $25 for....

yeah, ive been paying 25 bucks everytime i get an oil change but up to this point i am starting to worry about the quality of the service. to be safe, i think im gonna do the oil changes myself. i can even use higher quality oil. the price will prolly be the same but i can use synthetic and also use better filters.

I get my oil changed at the dealer and have done so for about 5 yrs now. The regular oil change uses bulk oil (I don't know what brand) and includes the washer and filter for $20 and change. I get the honda oil (comes in quarts, not bulk) and it is $30 bucks.

Yes, they put a new washer on everytime. It's a 'crush' washer. Kinda hard to crush it 2x....

Yes, they use 5w-20....at least my dealer does..

On my first oil change...I struck up conversation with the service advisor and became buddies with him. When my car was ready, I gave him $5.00 for getting my car done quickly and told him to buy himself lunch...Since then, I have had fast service and never been screwed over...IT WORKS!!
