Rep Power: 456 Windshield wiper delay?
I'm very upset at Honda with this. They decided that for 2002, they would install intermittetent wipers. Well, I was one of the unlucky many to get a 2001. I miss not having this from my Neon. It was really nice because I could set the delay if it was a light rain and I didn't have to keep turning my wipers on and off. What I wondering is, what would it take to install this into a 2001? Is it just the stick and some kind of relay? Has anybody DIY? The more info you guys come up with, the better!

Rep Power: 0 I'd like to know this too. With winter comming and it being rainy season its annoying to have to turn your wipers on and off because the pre set settings arn't good enough. Just today I've had to manually turn them on and off because the slowest setting is too fast if its just spitting rain. Also you look stupid when they move too fast.
I'd also like to know how to increase the power to the rear defrost wires, these are the weakest defrost I've ever seen in a car.

Rep Power: 295 I have a 2001 EX and we have the intermidiate wipers. They are okay. What I don't like is that they make lots of noice. What I mean is that there is a loud clicking sound right before the wipers start and in lon't trips it gets to me. I have had other cars with the same feacture but none of them as loud as this civic.

Rep Power: 456 What I meant was the variable delay thingy from the 2002s. I want that on mine. There's got to be some way to do it on a 2001. I'm looking for the parts and stuff now, but if you guys have any input, that'd be great.

I definitely recommend it for all the other glass panes on the car though.

Rep Power: 456 No. I think you guys are missing the point here. The 2002s have variable intermittent wipers. There's a little **** that you can turn to adjust the delay. The 2001s *do not* come with this. It comes with intermittent wipers, but the delay is preset and you can't adjust it. I want to know what it owuld take to do the swap from the 2002s to the 2001s? I'd love to be able to change the delay on my wipers for when it's not raining that hard.
