You don't HAVE to change the spark plugs until 110,000mi, just keep changing you oil, tires rotated, and a clean air filter and you should be good to go. Reffer to your owners manual, it explains it all.

5000mi = OIL CHANGE / TIRE ROTATION / TOP-OFF FLUIDS (COOLANT, WIPERS)

8000mi = OIL CHANGE

10000mi = OIL CHANGE / TIRE ROTATION / AIR FILTER / AIR-CONDITIONING FILTERS / TOP-OFF FLUIDS (COOLANT, WIPERS)

13000mi = OIL CHANGE

15000mi = OIL CHANGE / TIRE ROTATION / RESET "MAINT. REQ." LIGHT / TOP-OFF FLUIDS (COOLANT, WIPERS)

18000mi = OIL CHANGE

20000mi = OIL CHANGE / TIRE ROTATION / AIR FILTER / AIR-CONDITIONING FILTERS / TOP-OFF FLUIDS (COOLANT, WIPERS)

AND SO ON AND SO ON...

I'm at 15800 right now...at least this is what I do here in Arizona...

Over the summer I was at the Honda Dealership in Colorado Springs, and i overheard a guy say he was bringing in his 2002 civic sedan for the 60,000 mile check up. I think he said that he has to drive to limon everyday for work, which is like 74 miles away.

40,000 miles??...dam dude that's lot of freakin' driving. rock on dude daily drivers rule anyway. I only got about 14,500 and i thought that was a lot for having the car for a year as of two weeks ago.
my last civic before i got rid of it clocked a 275,000 miles or so..man that car was the bomb it never gave me a problem........
