crank pully help??
does anybody know how to get our crank pully off i keep breaking tools. i have a impact gun and that didint get it of either. is there a trick to it. i had like 600 foot lbs on it and it didnt budge
There is a special tool that you can purchase from Snapon called a crank pulley holder. It costs $62, but let me tell you, it is worth it's weight in gold. I broke one breaker bar so far, but it was on it's way out anyways. I tried using an impact wrench, but also had no luck, once I put the pulley holder in there w/ the breaker bar, about 5 seconds later i was sliding it off =)
If you are in the MA area I can give you a hand if need be.

i took mine off this weekend. It's not to bad, I put a screwdriver in the flywheel and had a buddy hits the breaks aswell and i just used a socket wrench and a cheater bar. It took some force but it came off without breaking anytools and it didn't hurt the flywheel.
Can someone help me with some ideas on how to get the crank bolt off?? I have two clamps on it and it still wont come off......I have no idea how to stick a screwdriver in the flywheel (i will consider trying it) but any ideas will be great ( i know about the crank holder and i dont have one)
