I just got a new exhaust installed and I did a 2" piping..When i took it to the guy that did my piping and installed the muffler i wanted a cat back with 2" pipping well yesterday i waz showing my frined it and he asked where waz my cat at and i looked and i didnt see it...my q is the cat part is that second oval shaped thing right? And ive been hearing that it is illegal not to have a cat on ur car???

yep, you won't pass inspection cuz you need a catalytic converter. 2nd oval shaped thing? i hope you're not refering to the resonator? the resonator is the "other" muffler in front of the regular muffler. if u refering to that, then u don't need the resonator.

depends if ur is lx or ex......
if it's lx..just tell the cop ur catalyic converter is in the header.

you got crush bent piping huh, ifi were you id go with 2 1/4, i noticed better gains out of 2 1/4 then just 2, trust me its not too large

The LX and DX cat is right after the headers, while the EX cat is under the car. That's the difference.
