Installing Bypass?????????
you have to cut a piece in the pipe for it to fit relatively close to the tb.
bypass valves are a waste of time because they only activate when the pressure in the intake tube changes, which happens only when you sit in a puddle and the filter is submerged. and because time = money, its a waste of money.

well the higher you mount the bypass valve the deeper the puddle you can survive...[hr]

Yes you can put it at the joint, I did that with my first intake. It works just as well and you only have to cut the pipe once as opposed to twice, but if I were you I wouldn't put it in. It negates the purpose of the CAI. I had one intake with the bypass in it at first and now I have one without it sounds better without one and you save yourself 50 bucks. I live in Indiana where it rains a lot and I haven't had any trouble. As for getting it to fit at the joint if you want to do it there I can tell you how to do it, but I'm not gonna write it all out here so email me and I'll email you the instructions.
