what tools do i need to clear my lights?
ahh... yes i tried searching first... but couldn't find anything that says what tools you need (besides a couple screwdrivers). i'm not much mechanically inclined, and so i have like two screwdrivers, a wrench, and a hammer. that's all. do i need any special types of umm... "tools" to do stuff like removing the bracket (step 2) or removing the "bolts" and "bracket" in step 7 (just use a screwdriver?)? i want to make sure i have what i need before i start.
oh and also, for the parts that require the car be jacked up, is it enough to just use the wheel jack that comes with the car or will i need to put it on two jacks or something crazy like that?
last question, do i need to put in an amber bulb for the turn light or is the stock one already amber?
thanks and my apologies for my dumb newbie questions!

If you plan on doing work on your car in the future i would suggest you invest in a socket wrench set... they aren't too expensive and they usually come with most of the popular size bits... and the jack stands usually come in your car... well atleast one...
but to get decent ones u could get them at pep boys... but to clear your headlights i don't think they would be too necessary... u just have to squeeze a bit to get under the bumper to remove a few bolts... (i've done it before and it's not too hard... especially if your not lowered...)
the DIY is pretty detailed so i think you should be fine... good luck... and if your unsure about anything just ask... many people have cleared their headlights on this board...

Do what I did... Go to Sears, buy the Craftsman 2 1/4 ton jack and jack stand set, and the 122 piece mechanics tool set. Best $120 I've spent on my car

Also try not to get the lense dirty cuz I got mine dirty, tried to clean it with a napkin soft one with windex and I scratched the $h1t out of it, I regret cleaning it and now it has all these swirl marks on it because the stupid black silicon got on it

rubbing alcohol(incase you got the goo on the lense/chrome)
flathead screw driver
caulk and gun
small philips screw driver
some paper towel
optional:
heatgun
if you are not too fat, you don't necessarly need to jack the car up, 5 times i took the bumper off(before lowering) and i never need to jack it up. and don't ever use the jack came with the car, it sucks

Yeah, a good socket wrench set will be good for the hard to reach bolts when taking off the lights. For the bumper, you just need a flathead and philips to take off the clips and screws. There are six clips and two screws on the bottom of the bumper. And no, there is no need to put the car on jack stands or take out the four screws holding the rubber spoiler in.
Someone suggested putting the lights in the oven to separate the housing. This works well, and if you stick the two halves back in when you're done you can seal them with the original goo. I did my sedan lights a week ago and they haven't fogged yet.
Good luck, it's hard but worth it.

I did mine yesterday, took about 2 1/2 hours if you don't count the run to get the T-10 TORX driver (02 coupe). I did not use the oven method. I cut a line in the goo, then widened it with a screwdriver, after that, all I did was pull. I started with the bottom outer corner, that seemed to be the easiest place to grab onto. Just be careful not to break the chrome thing when you pull it out of the clear lens, you have to bend it a little to get it out, but don't bend too much. Goo Gone will be your friend.
