Installed Injen CAI, Car Keeps Stalling : Help
I helped my friend install his Injen CAI into his 2001 Civic Manual Coupe Si/EX
We installed it totally correct because i did one on my 2001 Civic Auto Sedan LX
We tried resetting the ECU by taking off the negative part of the battery for a while,
everything is fine when he is in neutral but once he goes over 2k RPM in 1st gear, the car shuts off........ wuts wrong?

best way to ensure that you have reset the ECU is:
take out the ECU fuse in the fuse box. disconnect it for 10 minutes.
after that, plug it back in, start the car and leave it on for 10 minutes.
then, turn off car, but dont press on gas... and turn it off again.
finally turn it on and you should be good to go.

did u even mess with the throttle cable???
check the air sensor make sure its in right or that it wasnt damaged...
before u installed the intake did you make sure there wasn't any of that peanut packing crap in one of the pipes or the filter...that would suck

mushroom? u mean the filter?
the filter shouldn't be touching anything right?
check if the pipping is hitting anything. check the ground wire too, I duno. just double check everything u installed.
did u do what I suggested on the ecu resetting?

my friend is guessing that its the intake that is touching metal at the bottom where the mushroom is, do u think it could be that?
naw, that shouldn't be a problem. Mine was touching after the rubber pad got rubbed off. I redid it with a piece of corrugated wire loom over that metal piece. It helps.
edit: bah, I can't type. Those keys are not even right next to each other!
