help Skunk2 Coilovers
i just got my skunk2 coilovers installed yesterday and asked for a 2 inch drop. After getting it back the coilovers made some weird sounds in the front, is it really like that? also, how come my car still looks kind of high, it doesn't seem like a 2 in. drop. if ne one has a 2 in drop, does it still look kind of high?
yeah, i have similar problems...the shop that did mine didnt drop it like i wanted them too, and it makes noises except they are in my rear....bastards...i want to adjust them myself but i dont have any instructions and i dont know ish about suspensions
the noise you're hearing is probably the coilovers settling. when i did mine it made that noise for about a week or two. it's no big deal. as for the drop, mine looked dropped right away, but i didn't set it at 2 inches, more like 1.8 or so. give it about a week and the noise will probably stop.

they're coilovers, if you dont like the height adjust them yourself, its not as easy as a-b-c but its not hard either... but then i'm guessing they didn't even cut the front perch so you cant adjust it all the way... as for 2", depending on the person its different but for most people its fairly low... you should have no wheel gap with stock tires.
as for noise what kind of noise? when you get in the car? when you turn? usually due to the springs settling in tho.

i dont know about the sound problem, but it didn't drop much maybe because ur coils are brand new, need to give it some time. and they dont drop all of a sudden, before getting in the car, just give it some pressure, gently press down from the front and rear, then when you are in the car, jump a couple times. then u'll see them lower much quickly. but once u leave ur car, ur springs will lift up a little bit
ok thanks, the height isn't really a problem, like VNilMAN said, they're coilovers i can adjust the height. The sound is really annoying me. it only makes the weird sounds when i turn left or right. i dunno what it is.

a couple people have complained about this with coilovers... i think it was something hitting something, not sure, never really looked into it... i know with lowering springs, the top perch has to be aligned right, you also need to put a rubber tube on the bottom part of the spring that meets the lower perch. this is for lowering springs tho, it should be different with coilovers since they are half the size... try searching in the suspension forum, its old so maybe try the archived threads too
